News Articles > Eagles | Miles Sanders in rarified air

(thehuddle) Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders recorded 25 touches in Week 15 and again in Week 16 last season, becoming the first Eagle to do so in back-to-back games since 2014 and the first Philadelphia rookie to do so since Steve Van Buren in 1944.

Analysis: Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia suggested 25-touch games will be the exception more than the rule in 2020. Frank also mentions that Brian Westbrook - who he feels is a great comparison for Sanders - didn't go over 300 touches until his fifth season and expects the second-year back to fall short of the mark as well, in part because the team is so high on Boston Scott. Nevertheless, the marriage of Sanders' talent and the offensive scheme should be enough to make him a solid first-round pick in most leagues.
